Alonis Living in Playa del Torres, on the edge of Villajoyosa: a large seaside development. Ground-floor apartments have private gardens, the upper floors have terraces. There are one, two and three-bedroom homes, and the grounds work like a resort: one pool below and another on the roof.

Where Alonis Living sits

The sea is 650 metres away, you walk to the beach and do not need the car for it. A whole new neighbourhood has grown up around it. The neighbouring projects are across the street, and their prices are in the table further down.

A garden of your own or a terrace

On the ground floor the apartments have their own garden, sometimes bigger than the apartment itself. Higher up come terraced apartments of two or three bedrooms, laid out much alike floor by floor. On the top floor sits an ático with its own rooftop solarium. The choice is between two ways of living. Morning coffee barefoot in your own garden, or lunch on a terrace above the communal gardens.

What the price already covers here

Each apartment has its own allocated car space and storeroom at no extra cost. The kitchen comes with every appliance, down to the dishwasher and the washer-dryer. Hot water comes from aerothermal heat and the bathrooms have underfloor heating. Ventilation with heat recovery renews the air, and the building is rated energy class A.

The real wealth of the project is shared. Block two's rooftop holds a pool, a chill-out lounge and a barbecue. At ground level: a tropical pool you walk into like a beach, a heated lap lane, a paddling pool for kids and a jacuzzi. There is an indoor and outdoor gym and a putting green with mini golf. One room doubles as a lounge for guests or a coworking space.

Prices and the metre by layout

The cheapest two-bedroom garden apartment has a lower metre than the two-bedroom flat upstairs, but only because of 37 m² of terraces: by living area it is more expensive, 6240 € against 5622 €. The garden is not part of the calculation, a bonus for anyone who wants to live at ground level.

The ático has the lowest metre in the table because of its solarium, which makes up 40 % of the area. Counting the home and terrace without the solarium, its metre is 6771 €.

How payment is staged at Alonis

The reservation secures the apartment. Then comes 30 % of the price at the private contract and a small share six months later. The bulk is paid only at the deed, once the building is finished. The large sum leaves your account when you receive the keys.

The neighbours have pools too. But a rooftop pool plus a beach-style entry make this place feel like a hotel rather than an ordinary courtyard.

Who Alonis Living suits

Parents of young kids dreaming of their own lawn. The little one plays on the grass while the adults keep an eye from the kitchen. A retired couple who want to swim all year in the heated lane. Anyone working remotely: the coworking room in the building settles where to take the calls.

It does not suit someone looking for a detached house with a plot. This is a large development with neighbours and shared areas.

• Which car space and storeroom come with your apartment.
• The cost of the extras: underfloor heating throughout, a small pool in the garden, an electric car charging point.
