Montecala Gardens offers three bedroom apartments in Cumbre del Sol, Benitachell. They are a way to live on this villa estate without buying a villa. The buildings are small, five homes each, every apartment has its own terrace, and the pools and club are shared.

Both have two bathrooms, an open kitchen and living room, and a terrace facing south east. Nobody lives above the ático, and that is its main advantage. The apartment with the large terrace costs less than the ático and gives a fifth more space, so its metre is noticeably better value.

You receive the keys to a finished home. The kitchen is made to measure with a Silestone worktop and already holds every Bosch or equivalent appliance: fridge, hob, oven, microwave, extractor and dishwasher.

Warm floors heat the rooms in winter and the same aerothermal unit cools them in summer while making hot water all year. You can set the climate from an app. Windows have Climalit glazing, bedrooms have electric roller shutters and wardrobes come fitted inside.

A wireless alarm with video verification protects the apartment, and the building has a lift. The shared grounds have two pools with wide terraces, a social club and a playground.

Villas and flats around Montecala Gardens

Among the new builds I follow in Benitachell, these are the only apartments. The nearest neighbours in the same format are already in Calpe and Jávea. Montecala Gardens lets you live among villas for the price of a flat.

A couple looking for a second home by the sea without their own garden and pool to maintain, since the complex looks after the shared areas.

A family coming for the holidays: three bedrooms, a playground and two pools on site.

Someone getting to know Cumbre del Sol who would rather live here first and choose a villa later.

It does not suit buyers who need a private underground garage, because parking in the complex is open air.
